 It is important for a child with an early diagnosis in the first 1000 days for your child to receive specific intervention developing gross motor and fine motor skills, communication, and socialising skills. Our Occupational Therapists are trained in supporting play and learning for babies and their families.  

Our senses are what connect us with the outside world. Sometimes, the information coming in from the world is overwhelming or underwhelming. We assist in finding the ‘right balance’ which is important for learning, play and daily engagement. 

 At True Therapy, we aim to enhance independence in daily living activities including toileting, dressing, showering, grooming, eating and routines. 

We can assist with assessment, intervention and active monitoring of muscles, bones, joints and movement in the upper limbs to help improve participation in daily activities. 

True Therapy can assist with development of learning to play skills for children which is a pre-requisite for learning to play with similar ages and is a fundamental goal that many parents and educators have for their children. 

We can nurture healthy play patterns and transfer these skills to the classroom or a play date. 

Learning skills in particular handwriting and cutting should be pain-free and legible. Many factors impact participation in the classroom including posture, dexterity, fine motor skills, visual perception, muscle tone and eye hand coordination. We utilise specific assessments to identify areas of improvement for handwriting and achieve goals with one fun activity at a time.
